Dr. Brian E. Cavallaro is a board-certified ophthalmologist and one of eight partners at EYE-Q with more than a decade of experience in the field. His specialty areas are glaucoma and cataracts. Dr. Cavallaro earned his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences Chicago Medical School. He has also completed a glaucoma fellowship at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami. Dr. Cavallaro received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. Before joining EYE-Q, Dr. Cavallaro practiced with the U.S. Army, most recently as the director of the glaucoma section at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. In his free time, Dr. Cavallaro enjoys photography. He also loves spending time outdoor; sea kayaking, canoeing and fishing. His other hobbies include motorcycle riding, traveling, and playing drums (especially conga drums).
