Provided by YP.comThe Sushi is fresh and well made, but the service wasn't satisfactory. The waitress, Jing-Jing, delineated from commonly excepted norms contemporaneous with the social behavior that one comes to expect when eating at a fine dining establishment.
Had this been a "Wing-Joint" her service would have been considered acceptable.

Provided by YPmobileWent to the Sandhill location in Columbia, SC, and I experienced the worst service I have ever had at any restaurant, in which ended in me having too pay for food. So during my visit it started out awesome, staff was friendly, and I was seated immediately. My friend, and I ordered our food which consisted of two sushi rolls, a salad, or soup, and a drink. Our food was brought to the table, and it was unsatisfactory. I had already eaten the salad, and began to drink some of the drink, but when the sushi came out it was discusting, and was just terrible. Now the waitress was very respectful, and removed the drinks, and sushi, but told me that her manager made her charge me full price for the salads. I was completely overwhelmed by this, and asked to speak with me immediately. Now keep in mind this, he was the person that sat me, because the hostess was busy, and held a brief conversation about awaiting my waitress. He spoke perfect English without a single flaw. After he approached I told him that my food was unsatisfactory, and I don't understand why I was having to pay for the salad, especially at full price when it was part of the meal as a special. He immediately started acting like he didn't understand me, and from what I was able to recollect from him obviously fake attempt to not speak English was, because I ate the salad I had to pay for it at full price. Now someone within this corporation please correct me if I'm wrong but the reason why I ate the salad which was brought out prior to the meal like every other restaurant in AMERICA was because I wasn't anticipating my food being great. Now this is ridiculous, and this manager should lose his job. Please someone from this corporation contact me asap please. I will never return ever, and I will tell everyone I know never to go there.

Provided by YP.comMy wife bought a $25 gift card from the Sandhills mall lociation in Columbia, SC as a Christmas present for my son. Apparently the card was defective when purchased. She and my son ate lunch the one day and my son tried to pay using the card. It had never been used before and showed no amount on it. The manager was a total jerk about it and refused to make good on the card. What a rip off. Will never eat there again.

Provided by YP.comLet's get to the point!! The best dishes at this place by far are: Phad Thai Shrimp, Ma-La Seafood in basil sauce, Singapore rice noodles, Spicy Cha,cha, cha, Honey walnut shrimp, Tangerine beef, and Beef sautee in spinach. I love these dishes and usually alternate between them. As far as sushi goes: Can't go wrong with the Red Bowl roll (good for the beginner sushi eaters). However, for those more adventurous, the dragon roll, hot river, flaming roll, Phoenix roll, and dynamite rolls are delicious! The tuna tataki is good, but not enough to fill you up! They also have tasty and strong $5 martinis. You have to try their death by chocolate! Their entrees are big so be prepare for a to-go box. Or come hungry.

Provided by YP.comThis place has a very good sushi bar. My favorite roll is the dragon roll with avocado and eel drape on top. Very tasty! Their hot river roll with the spicy tuna and crabmeat is exceptional! I have never found a sushi place in columbia that is so unique and creative. Some of their rolls are massive yet it is inexpensive! They have very good lunch sushi specials. You get a two roll combination and a soup or salad for only $6.95 and up. I love sushi and it usually bankrupts me being such a sushi lover! And it takes alot of sushi to fill me up! So you can understand I'm always looking for a good deal. They also have a good selection of sake. They have the traditional hot sake that everyone loves. However, I like their collection of cold sakes. The unfiltered, Nigori, is my favorite. It is sweet and milky in color. They also offer favored sake. I had the pomegranate which I've never even heard of til now. Their entrees are huge. I recommend eating half and taking the other half home if you eat alone.

Provided by YP.comThis is a wonderful addition to the sandhills area restaurants. I moved here from new york city and it is hard to find a good sushi place that is creative and unique. My favorite is the Flaming roll and the Carolina roll. Their entrees here are massive! You get what you pay for. For example, their Spicy red curry shrimp is $12.95, the shrimps are massive, the plates are huge, and they recommend eating family style--which is sharing. So in this economy, my family of 5 usually order 1 appetizers(Ultimate Combo) and 3 entrees to share and it is enough for everyone. And you can escape with a bill around $50 for a party of 5 easily.
The staff is very friendly and seems to always remember your name when you come in. They also have great drink specials. My favorite is their signature appletinis. A very unique twist to a common drink and is only $5 and is around 8oz. which is huge for a martini. My second favorite is the Blue Hawaiian. Very tasty with a hint of coconut and pineapple juice. They have good ambience. Is decorated in natural tones and surrounded by wood structures and carvings. Very unique looking for an Asian restaurant. It is easy on the eyes and is a good place for casual or dressy dining. I highly recommend this restaurant not only for the food but for the friendly down to earth staff as well.
