Jessica has been practicing psychotherapy with individuals, couples, families and groups for nearly twenty years and has been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (License MFC35431) since 1999. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of California at San Diego and a Master's Degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from the University of San Diego. In addition to her psychotherapy practice, Jessica is Director of Mental Health Services at Phoenix House of San Diego, a nationally recognized substance abuse treatment program where she has been treating adolescents and their families for over ten years. She is also an AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists) Approved Clinical Supervisor and provides training and supervision to Master's level therapists. She has served as adjunct faculty and guest lecturer at various Counseling and Marital and Family Therapy graduate programs in San Diego. Jessica is a Clinical Member of CAMFT (California Association for Marriage and Family Therapists). Using a collaborative, contemporary style, Jessica combines clinical experience and skill with practical life experience to help clients reach their treatment goals. She has extensive experience working with families and is comfortable working with clients of various lifestyles and ages (adolescent through adult). Her specialties include working with adolescents and their families, substance abuse issues, self-esteem issues, survivors of physical and sexual abuse and relationship issues. Jessica is married and a parent of two children.
