This is not the 1st time we have had a bad experience at this place... I wish I could give it NO stars!!! It seems every time we go it gets worse & worse!!!! The lifeguards are LAZY!!!! Some kid jumped off the diving board with sunglasses on & they(sunglasses) fell to the bottom & a lifeguard & a manger decided it would be a good idea to challenge the kids in line to jump off the diving board & go to the bottom(12 ft) to get the glasses.. Well my son was one of the kids.. He came over to me & I noticed his eye were bloodshot so I went to make a complaint.. 1st manger just stood there with a stupid look on her face. 2nd manger same thing he just stood there. 3rd manager(Cindy the head manger) stood there & could careless... Not 1 of the mangers asked if he was okay or even asked to see who the lifeguard or manager was.. One of the lifeguards sitting in the chair by the diving board just started off into space(looking the opposite direction) the whole time she sat there, the lifeguards that walked around the pool just stood there while kids were jumping into the pool on other kids heads, a kid dived in the 5ft head 1st & he hit his head on the bottom & my kids had to help him out because the lifeguards were not paying attention, the lifeguards at the slides were not paying attention & kid was hurt there also... Needless to say this is not a place you want to take your kids!!! It's not safe & it's ran by IDIOTS!!!! I will never return to this garbage place & I highly suggest if you read this post you shouldn't either!! It could be your child that gets hurt & their careless staff will look the other way... I so hope no child loses their life there!!!

Its a great park, but if i had to give one con it is, that there it isent a hole lot to do there to keep you intertained for more than 2 hours. But anyways a great park. And the post on here about letting her 3 YEAR OLD run off by her self and get hurt, AO dosent have a rope under neath the umprellas so that post was a compleat lie.

Great park and i would recomend it for a fun time killer :)

The reviews here confirm my experience as well. A couple teenagers who were seemingly put in charge of the Park decided to kick out a mother and her family because the mom was wearing a bikini. It was a terrible experience I think the city should pick new management.

My three-year old ran under a closed umbrella at Adventure Oasis and got caught on one of the many loops of loose trim that were hanging from the bottom. I didn t see it happen and turn around to see her actually HANGING by her neck. I went running but two ladies reached her first and had her down before I got to her. No lifeguard assistance, no first aid action even though the ladies told me they alerted the lifeguard. I took her to the first aid station, interrupted the 5 individuals just sitting there engaged in casual conversation, received very little sympathy or concern and then felt pressured to sign a release form. NEVER going back.

It would be helpful if Adventure Oasis would put their hours of operation on their website. How do we know when to come????

Ok so I went to oasis today and realy I want to have my birthday there but seriously $150 dollars for chips icecream and hot dogs that's just rediculos now I think that should be lowered to $80 and 45 of my friends think so to like in 1 week or were not going there ever again

the pool is subpar, staff are rude and midwest pool management does not put money into the pool. e.g.( broken diving board early in season last year 2010, never fixed rest of season, tubes not replaced as season went on,wait 45 mins too get in lazy river). this year season pass appreciation night was boring, no contest, entertainment ,water was dirty. I think I'll save my money next year, I have been a season pass holder last three seasons and can think of better ways to spend my hard earned cash over the summer.

It is not as great as it could be. If compared to other water parks in KC such as North Kansas City and Lee's summit waves, it is really trashy. The place is not picked up well, the staff is very rude (probably because there are a lot of unruly teenagers that climb all over the little kid areas) and don't complain to the management because it does no good.
