Tampa Electric is a subsidiary of TECO and a regulated electric utility with more than 4,400 megawatts of generating capacity. Tampa Electric s service area covers 2,000 square miles in West Central Florida, including nearly all of Hillsborough County and parts of Polk, Pasco and Pinellas counties in Florida.
