The Oxford Township Parks & Recreation enhances the quality of life for the community through the preservation of open space and the use of recreational and enrichment programs, facilities and leisure opportunities. It is located in Oxford, Mich., and maintains various parks throughout the township. The department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the park spaces, food courts and pavilions. In addition, the department provides and maintains recreational parks that include Stony Lake, Seymour Lake, Powell Lake and Oakwood Lake parks. It also offers a wide range of sporting activities, such as bowling, open swim, indoor hockey and basketball programs and trainings. In addition, the Oxford Township Parks & Recreation provides various special events that include daddy and daughter and mother and son dancing events, Santa s jingle and walking schedules.
