Worst company ever!!!! if youre reading this, do NOT hire them or you will regret your decision. Ben the foreman is the most unprofessional, shady, aggravating, untrustwothy, unethical and untimely person i have ever dealt with. although it may not seem so, i am not much of a complainer, but i wanted to bring it to peoples attention what a horrible mismanaged company zimmer and kohl is. james morris is nice, but cannot manage the kaos that is the company. furthermore, morris will do the minimum to help out, and openly admits what horrible customer service zimmer and kohl has. i made a complaint on better business bureau, which if you ate reading this you should also check out the BBB website and see all of the unhappy customers. there are a dozen extremely unhappy customer complaints and those are just people that came forward like me. it should be noted that there is not one good word or comment posted by anyone regarding the services of this company. this company is not good enough for your business, so dont hire them whatever you do!!

Stay away from this company—they are evil and will leave you with an unfinished job, a house in disarray and will try to scrape every penny out of your pocket.



They came to our house, gave us an estimate, took our check and stopped calling us. We had to force ourselves upon them to get on their schedule. Finally after fighting with them for two weeks, they set a date, which they promptly blew. We called and called and called and they sent their contractor Ben.



Ben showed up 6 hours after he was supposed to, he said he needed to measure even though the estimator and Ben had measured our house before. When Ben arrived, he was in a fit of rage—why, I'm not sure. He brushed past my wife and began berating me about how he wasn't going to take the job because the estimate was too low and how WE were supposed to supply all the materials and supplies. At this point Zimmer and Kohl had, had the estimate for 5 weeks.



How does a company that has an estimate for 5 weeks not discover this? If they would have alerted us of this, we would have gladly paid more based on the other estimates we had seen.



So after Ben left our house swearing and literally throwing our check at us, we called the guy who did our estimate to work out another price. Big mistake, I know but we wanted our house and lives back.



We agreed on increasing the estimate $3000. Which according to the other estimates we had seen, this was a fairly average estimate.



The day we were supposed to sign the increased estimate, they called us back and told us they wanted to increased the estimate by $10,000.



At this point we walked away.



Now we can't use our garage because its full of the carpet they were supposed to take away after the job was over. And, everything that was in my basement now sits upstairs in my house, making it a complete maze.



I've never had a worse experience with a company. Zimmer and Kohl is a dirty, underhanded, lying, cheating company. Stay away from them.
