Gottschalks Music has been very near and dear to my heart since I started music. This was the nearest music store to my house, and I happened to walk in there just trying to get some basic materials. What I left with was more knowledge than I knew what to do with! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful in all of my concerns; back then, and through until today. I frequent the shop and I'm always greeted with a smile. the staff is knowledgeable and always willing to work through any problem or question, no matter how ridiculous it is. And even though they do not carry all the different bits and bobs, they are able to order it and get it to you as quick as possible, along with a pretty reasonable price. And most importantly, the employees are all quality people, and I would definitely strike up a conversation if I ran into any of them in the street!

Great mom & pop music store in Clovis. No attitudes & egos you would expect from the other MEGAstore. You know, the walmart of the music industry GuitarCenter. Gottschalks Music had Great service. Great prices. And excellent promotional deals. I became a rewards member and instant rebates. No need to spend my money at GuitarCenter with all the posers, I'll spend my music-money locally here. As a seasoned musician, I HIGHLY recommend and support this local music shop.

We rented a violin from them for my daughter. Her father was supposed to be making the payments but kept forgeting. We went up to 3 months with out making a payment. I was concerned about them just repossesing the violin. instead they were very understanding with me. It would have been a shame if my daughter would have had to drop out of band for lack of no instrument.

Dissapointed with their customer service on back order items. They don't know when the order goes out, when the item gets shipped or if it is shipped, and when it will arrive. They say it usually takes 1.5 week to 2 week, but later they say the order only goes out once a week. My advice, if you need an item within 3 weeks (who don't?), do not wait for their back order.
