During our family reunion in Memphis last month, what could go wrong did go wrong. We'd hired a company to plan the agenda for the reunion and facilitate the gathering of the relatives during our weekend in Memphis. Unfortunately the company we hired proved grossly inadequate, buses weren't where they were supposed to be, tour times were mixed up, luggage was lost and the list of problems continued.



The only bright star of our trip was the Doubletree Hotel Downtown, and the lengths their staff went to, to improve the quality of our stay. They were both helpful and went above and beyond in every way right up to and including their wonderful audio/visual department that accommodated our every request at prices that were very fair.



I do not know if we will ever have another reunion as the matriarch of our family is now fully in the twilight of her life, but I would not hesitate to recommend the Doubletree Hotel to others and know the next time I'm in Memphis I will be staying there again!

I have had many salads from many restaurants but none can compare to the Peacan Crusted Chicken Salad from TGI Fridays. This salad has the perfect combination of meat, veggies, tasty raisins and nuts. On top of that, it feels like Friday every time you enter. The atmosphere is so contagious. While you enjoy your food, you can glace at televisions placed throughout the restaurant. The service is great and the people are axceptional. TGI Fridays beats Outback any day of the week.
